Mechanic II, Department of Public Works, Merrimack, NH

The Town of Merrimack is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic II within the Department of Public Works – Wastewater Division.  Employees in this class perform highly skilled tasks in the preventive maintenance and repair of pumps, pneumatic controls, compressors, electric motors, and valves. 

 Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment; possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL-B with Air Brakes and Tank endorsements) OR any equivalent education and experience that demonstrated the possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Normal work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (subject to change).  The starting wage is $18.353/hr, with a comprehensive benefits package including participation in the New Hampshire Retirement System.
