NHWPCA Communications Committee Formed The NHWPCA Board of Directors has given their solid support for the formation of the new Communications Committee. As new president John Grout mentions in his President’s Address, one of his main concerns is improving communication to the members. That’s why this committee has been established. The Communications Committee’s Mission Statement reads as follows: To promote effective communication between the general membership and the Board of Directors and amongst the membership themselves regarding Association business and pertinent issues within the wastewater industry to promote enthusiasm and cohesiveness within the Association. The committee will rely heavily on e-mail to pass along timely Association business and noteworthy news to the membership. Just a few of the many examples are listed below: · Meeting announcements and registration deadline reminders · Membership dues reminder · Director’s meetings announcements and minutes · Specialty training seminar announcements · Operations Challenge updates · Membership forum to discuss wastewater related issues There is no charge for this service and it will be available only to Association members. It will allow you to get the latest up-to-date Association news. We are hoping that all members with e-mail, whether at home or at work, will subscribe. It is currently under development and you should be hearing more about it in the very near future. For now, if you are interested in subscribing, please send your e-mail address to wripple@des.state.nh.us. The newly formed Communications Committee members are Wes Ripple and Tom White, DES; Mike Butler, Monadnock Paper Mill; Bob Kilham, Epping WWTF; Richard Slingsby, Mechanical Solutions Inc; Dave Mercier, Underwood Engineers; and Tom Neforas, Town of Milford. In other news of note, the Internet Committee, which is responsible for developing and maintaining the Association Web page, will now become a part of the Communications Committee. The Web page will continue to be maintained by Rick Cantu of the Manchester WWTF, and Steve Clifton of Underwood Engineers, but will now receive help and support from the other committee members. Internet CommitteeThe Internet Committee will now encompass the Communication Committee. The information is in the above section.
